OK Trian

OK Trian (Orienteringsklubben Trian rf) is a 2014 founded special association for orienteering from Eastern Uusimaa, whose activities includes foot, mountain bike, ski and trail orienteering. Our goal is to offer high-quality hobby, training and competition opportunities to all interested parties in accordance with their interest and knowledge. OK Trian focuses on junior and elite orienteering.

We have about 680 members, of whom about 250 are juniors and over 300 actively competing members. Our sphere of activities covers the whole Eastern Uusimaa – Porvoo, Sipoo, Lapinjärvi and Loviisa. The background for OK Trian are the traditional and successful clubs Akilles OK, IF Sibbo-Vargarna and OK Orient.

Thousands of people participate annually in our events (orienteering schools, fitness orienteering, competitions, sports days). During the years 2012 – 2014 on average over 7000 people participated yearly. We ourselves also actively participate in competitions and events both in Finland and abroad.

In terms of competition, we have been very successful in recent years. Our orienteers have represented and represent Finnish senior and junior national teams. We achieved for example 3 World Championship medals, one European Championship medal and 89 Finnish Championship medals or plaques in different age groups between the years 2012 – 2014.
