The colourful club tents of the Jukola and Venla relay teams started to fill the damp fields on Saturday.

Koovee, a team from Tampere, has eight teams in the Venla relay and six teams in the Jukola competition.

– Our men’s first team arrived on Thursday and Friday, but most of the other competitors arrived on Saturday, commented Raimo Arvola from the Koovee team.

During the Venla relay, there is juice on offer in our tent. During the night, the Koovee café will also have coffee, tea, bread and other snacks on offer.

Raimo Arvola has also brought a television for the tent.

– In previous years, team members have watched the competition on the large television screens and this has affected team spirit. Team members are more likely to stay in the team tent if they can watch the competition from there, argues Arvola.
