The most important tool for Jukola orienteerers is ready. The first map came out from the printing machine at 1.05 pm today.
This is it! The first map is just out from the printing machine.
When making the map, laser shooting from a helicopter was used. The work in the terrain was done in 2010 – 2012. It was possible to start planning the courses at the same time.
There are seven colours used in the map and there will be 44 760 maps all together. There will be two maps for each competitor, and each team will get a map containing all the control points.
The maps will be taken to a safe place to wait for the competition.
