The organizing committee of Kuopio-Jukola invited the organizers of Jämsä-Jukola 2013 as well as the following organizers to share information about the arrangements of the Jukola Relay. About 200 people gathered in Kuopio on November 9th. Also Kaukametsäläiset, the association holding the ownership and the rights of Jukola, the Defence Forces, the City of Kuopio and the Finnish Orienteering Federation (FOF) were represented in the meeting.
Jaakko Lajunen, the Competition Manager of Jämsä-Jukola 2013, described the process of Jämsä-Jukola to the future organizers of the Jukola Relay.
The organizers of Kuopio-Jukola had a chance to learn from the previous organizers what went well and what needs rethinking and improving in the next Jukola Relay. Also the following organizers from Paimio (2015), Lappeenranta (2016) and Joensuu (2017) got plenty of valuable tips. New technologies will also provide new challenges and possibilities in the future.
