Kuopio-Jukola needs plenty of electricity. Since the competition centre will be in the unbuilt fields of Vehmersalmi village, a lot of technology is needed to provide the electricity, water, telecommunications, traffic etc. during the Jukola weekend.
A contract was signed with Savon Voima, the company responsible for power transmission. About 40 electric poles will be erected in the competition centre early in the spring. The grid will be about 4 km long.
