Kangasala-Jukola: please be aware of these: canal port, marked route and free long-distance parking

  1. The competition rules mention moving marking, a ”canal port”. This refers to marked road crossings, and competitors simply follow the allocated route. The organisers will use this canal port to direct service traffic passing on the road. The competitors will be directed to either side of the road, following route A or B, depending on the direction of the traffic. The routes are of equal length, and only one route will be open at a time. The organisers will direct the routes.

  2. There are two marked routes leading from the changeover area to the K-point (start). The marked routes join together after 100 metres. Feel free to use either route!
  3. The information in the Jukola webpages does not mention that parking at the long-distance parking area close to Pikkola school is free of charge. There is bus transport from the parking area to the competition centre (tickets can be bought on the bus). The long-distance parking is situated at the Pikkola school, which is 1.5 km from Kangasala centre towards Tampere.

Runners of the first leg, please be aware of specific instructions for the start!
