Lappee-Jukola weekend is absolutely about shopping in the Jukola shop. Mari-Anne and Sara Puustelli from Roseprint Oy present the store’s wide variety of products with both souvernirs for the families at home and clothes for the competitors. On Friday during daytime the shop wasn’t packed with people but there were five cashiers ready to serve the shopping entusiastic orienteers.
”The hit product is still unpredictable, it is quite dependent on the weather. If it rains, we sell more of softshell outfits and hoodies, on warm weather t-shirts and buff scarves are the best-sellers”, says Mari-Anne Puustelli.
In addition to softshell outfits, hoodies and buff scarves the shop sells e.g. drinking bottles and guksi cups with a lasered logo of Lappee-Jukola on the side. As the sales go on we may add more logo-marked clothing into the shop. Spare batteries, bluetooth speakers and wireless headphones are expected to become favourite products as well as the souvernir magnets and postcards.
The visitors of Jukola should bear in mind that the mail box is nearby Jukola street on the side of the red old-fashioned milk cottage and that Jukola shop sells both postcards and stamps. The stamp is of course of special Jukola design which makes it worth sending the postcards from the Jukola competition centre.
