Some picks of the invitation

Many have certainly read through very carefully the event invitation published in the beginning of December. To summarize and refresh your memory, we decided to list some points worth noticing – both new and familiar.

  • The event centre is located at the traffic safety centre in Paimio, right next to the E18 motorway. It will be opened on Friday, June 12th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
  • By total length in kilometres, the Venla Relay will be the third longest and the Jukola Relay the fifth longest in the history of Jukola. In contrast to most previous years, the third leg (15,7 km) will be the longest in the Jukola Relay. All legs include a minimum of 1,200 metres of marked route. The youngest competitors allowed to participate are those born in 2000, i.e. those turning 15 during year 2015.
  • A team must have at least three Emit cards. The same Emit card cannot be used by two different teams in the same relay, however the same Emit card may be used in both the Jukola and Venla Relays. The number of rental cards must be indicated when making an entry.
  • The first “deadline” for making an entry will be on Wednesday, February 4th, before which the entry fees are lower than after that. The teams’ running orders are to be entered into the electronic enrolment system by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12th, either together with the entry or later by using the access code.
  • As usual, spiked shoes are forbidden to use on all relay legs, however shoes with studs are allowed.
  • For accommodation, both tent places measuring 10 m x 10 m as well as a limited number of unheated tents are available. One can select the exact location of the tent place through a map service when making the reservation: dimtent.jukola.com.
  • In addition to a mere place, one can book a wind shelter place with a canopy erected by the organizers on the wind shelter area.
  • Parking ticket for a passenger car can be purchased in advance at the Jukola Shop in the competition centre. Places for campers and caravans as well as parking of a club bus must be booked and paid for by May 13th. Motorcycles are parked on a separate free-of-charge area, and bicycles have an own parking area in the competition centre.
  • Over the Jukola weekend, training is possible on the model area in the vicinity of the competition centre. Maps to this training will be sold at the competition info and the Jukola Shop.
  • For the first time, all payments concerning entries, accommodation or parking are done together with an entry or a reservation via online payment.

Welcome to Louna-Jukola – Everyone’s A Winner!
