The best of Venla-relay were rewarded in the Jukola-ceremony

The Jukola-ceremony was held in Saturday-evening’s cool air. The ceremony included the price ceremony of the Venla-relay. The ceremony was opened by the Jukola-patron, OP Group’s CEO Reijo Karhinen. In the price ceremony the 20 best of the Venla-relay were rewarded.

Those who succeeded were given among other things new stud shoes. The winning team Domnarvets GoIF were handed the Venla-relays trophy, Venla’s plate, which was awarded by Juhani Sihvonen, the spokesperson of Kaukametsäläiset ry. The victors also received jewels designed in the spirit of Alvar Aalto by Ireene Koski and a giftcard to the Kisakallio Sports Institute.

In addition Suomen Suunnistusvalmentajat ry awarded the coach of the best Finnish team, Juha Haajanen of SK Pohjantähti.

The choir of University of Turku’s ylioppilaskunta, was responsible of he ceremony’s music and performed as the last song the Finlandia-hymn.
