Entry opens on Friday, December 5th

Louna-Jukola takes a concrete step closer on Friday the 5th, as the enrolment system for Jukola and Venla Relays will be opened at noon. Likewise, the invitation will also be published on Friday. In a traditional way, the invitation includes e.g. course lengths and estimated times per leg, which serve as a basis for building teams and – of course – speculations over the winter season.

Several things and practices in Louna-Jukola are familiar from previous years. However, some novelties are also included. The Secretary General, Eero-Antti Lonka, picks three such points.

– One can pinpoint the exact location of the tent place on the camping area through a map service when making the reservation, just like selecting seats in a movie theatre. It’s also possible to reserve a canopy-like open tent erected by the organizers in the wind shelter area. In addition, all payments are – for the first time – done together with an entry or a reservation via online payment, says Lonka.

The invitation will be published on the website of Louna-Jukola prior to the opening of the enrolment system. Additional information on the above-mentioned novelties is also included in the invitation.

So, which team will it be that gets the unofficial honour of being the first to make an entry to Louna-Jukola?
